Why usWhy choose Memmotts for your JDM car
Memmotts is one of Brisbane’s oldest family-owned auto service centres, with a strong reputation across the city for professional, high-quality automotive work. Founded in 1956 and now run by second-generation owner Ray Memmott, we combine old-school workmanship with the latest diagnostic technology. We service all the trusted Japanese manufacturers — Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Subaru and Mitsubishi, including performance models like the Evo — and we treat modified and enthusiast cars with the care they deserve. Honest advice, transparent quotes and every job guaranteed, from two convenient northside workshops at Windsor and Grange.
What to watch forSigns your Japanese car needs attention
Performance Japanese engines are robust but not maintenance-free. Book yours in if you notice boost dropping off or lag increasing, a check-engine light, clutch slip or a notchy gearbox, knocks from the suspension after a spirited drive, or oil use creeping up between services. Older JDM imports also benefit from preventative attention to cooling systems, timing components and rubber hoses — the parts that age even when the car isn’t driven hard. Catching these early keeps your car reliable and its performance where it should be.

FAQsJDM car servicing FAQs
Which Japanese makes and models do you service?
All of them — Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Subaru and Mitsubishi, from daily drivers to performance and JDM imports like the Supra, Skyline, RX-7 and Evo. If it’s Japanese, we’ve almost certainly worked on one.
Do you work on modified or imported JDM cars?
Yes. We handle performance work including suspension and brake upgrades, turbo and intercooler installation, and tuning — using genuine and performance-grade parts, matched to how you actually use the car.
Will logbook servicing here keep my warranty valid?
Yes. We carry out logbook servicing for Japanese vehicles to manufacturer specification, so your new-car warranty stays intact — no need to go back to the dealer.
Where are you located and what are your hours?
We have two northside Brisbane workshops: Windsor at Unit 1, 14 Cox Road, Windsor QLD 4030, and Grange at 142 Days Road, Grange QLD 4051. Both are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
How do I book my JDM car in?
Book online any time through our booking page, or call the workshop that suits you — Windsor on (07) 3357 4955 or Grange on (07) 3172 5490. Tell us what you’re chasing and we’ll quote before we start; quotes are valid for seven days.
