Service detailSuspension repairs we carry out

Your suspension is what keeps the tyres on the road — it’s a safety system first and a comfort system second. We inspect, diagnose and repair the whole system, including:

  • Shock absorbers and struts — replacement and upgrades
  • Coil springs, bushes, control arms and ball joints
  • Sway bar links and mounts
  • Air suspension diagnosis and repair (Land Rover, Mercedes, Audi and more)
  • Power steering repairs — racks, pumps and electric power steering faults
  • Wheel alignments after any suspension or steering work

Steering and suspension work go hand in hand — a worn tie rod end or steering rack shows up in the same road feel as tired suspension, so we always assess both together and give you one clear picture.

What to watch forSigns your suspension or steering needs attention

Book an inspection if you notice knocking or clunking over bumps, the car floating or bouncing after dips, nose-diving under brakes, uneven or feathered tyre wear, a steering wheel that sits off-centre, wandering at highway speed, or a groan when parking. These symptoms rarely fix themselves, and worn suspension measurably increases stopping distance — catching it early is both safer and cheaper.

European specialistsEuropean suspension specialists

European vehicles — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Land Rover and Volvo — use more sophisticated suspension designs than most, from multi-link rear ends to adaptive dampers and full air suspension. We work on these systems every week with factory-level diagnostics, so you get a specialist repair without the dealership invoice. If your Range Rover is sitting low on one corner or your Mercedes shows an AIRMATIC warning, we’re the workshop to call.

FAQsSuspension & steering FAQs

How do I know if my shocks need replacing?

Common signs are bouncing after bumps, nose-diving under brakes, uneven tyre wear and a generally vague, floaty ride. We road test and inspect the car and show you exactly what we find before quoting.

Do I need a wheel alignment after suspension work?

Usually yes — replacing components changes the geometry. We check alignment as part of the job so the car drives straight and the tyres wear evenly.

Can you repair air suspension?

Yes — air struts, compressors, valve blocks and leaks on Land Rover, Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and other equipped vehicles. We diagnose the actual fault before replacing anything.

Is worn suspension really a safety issue?

Yes. Worn dampers reduce tyre contact with the road, which increases braking distance and degrades handling in emergency manoeuvres — it’s not just about comfort.
